Motion by Kinsley, 2nd by Olson, to approve the meeting agenda as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by Duffy, 2nd by Kinsley, to approve the December 7, 2010 meeting minutes. Motion carried.
Information Technology Department Director Mike Coleson reported that the infrastructure of the Information Technology Department is becoming dated and harder to maintain and proposed purchasing and installing a new server ($50,000) and upgrading the sound system in the Large Courtroom ($16,400) in part with funds that were not expended from the 2010 Information Technology Department budget. The Committee determined to table the proposal for further consideration at the February meeting of the Committee.
Clerk of Circuit Court Anne Marie Danielson reported that her office will continue to issue passports to the public and undertake the training and certification updates required by the end of January. Ms. Danielson indicated that the revenues exceed the expenses for issuing passports and suggested that her staff may need to work additional hours to perform their regular duties and retain the passport function.
The Committee reviewed information about asset management software training from New World Systems being arranged for County employees.
The Committee reviewed a proposed consulting agreement for 2011 with KD Consulting (Ken Hebbe) for technical support regarding data processing applications including the following specific services: Health and Human Services Department expense spreadsheets; County Treasurer’s check program, land inventory program, lottery credit export to State, and electronic tax settlement submission program; Real Property Lister’s statement of assessment and Novus export; and County and Municipal pet licensing programs. The agreement provides that compensation for the services would be $232 per day and 48.5 cents per miles for travel. Motion by Duffy, 2nd by Jaeger, to recommend County Board approval of the agreement. Motion carried.
Land Records Department Director Robyn Thake presented a proposed contract with Point North Mapping for the digital parcel mapping of Township 38 North, Range 8 West (the south portion of the Town of Couderay). The project cost is estimated at $12,237.50 ($12.50 per parcel x 979 estimated parcels) to be paid from County retained fees of the Land Records Special Revenue Fund #210-51267. Motion by Kinsley, 2nd by Olson, to recommend County Board approval of the contract. Motion carried.
Land Records Department Director Robyn Thake presented a department report, including a real property listing report and a property address system report, and requested approval for her and GIS Specialist Brian DeVries to attend the Wisconsin Land Information Association Conference to be held February 16-18, 2011 at Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin.
Clerk of Circuit Court Anne Marie Danielson presented a department report and requested approval to attend the Clerk of Court conference to be held in the Wisconsin Dells February 23-25, 2011.
Information Technology Department Director Mike Coleson presented a department report.
The Committee reviewed a written monthly report (and attached information) prepared by Child Support Department Director.
Motion by Duffy, 2nd by Jaeger, to accept the department reports and to approve the department requests for travel. Motion carried.
The Committee reviewed and approved the monthly department expense vouchers.
County Clerk Kris Mayberry reported on insurance, risk management, and liability claims involving Sawyer County.
Motion by Duffy, 2nd by Jaeger, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
