Audience Recognition

Sawyer County Ag. Fair Association

Aubart reported.  Christian motorcycle group will hold an event at the Fairgrounds this weekend for one day.  Poorman’s Racing is back at the Fair; things did not work out at LCO.  The Fair Board is currently working on the plan to increase fairground use.

Agent Report – Lori Laberee, 4-H Youth Agent

Lori Laberee reported.  Distributed copies of and presented a power point show from PILD that was adapted with Sawyer County data (report on file).  Laberee informs the committee that if she were queen for a day her top wish would be to be able to focus on continually recruiting and sustaining volunteers for the 4-H program, as well as creating and building leadership opportunities for our youth.

Approval of Vouchers

Moved by Paulsen, seconded by Gunderson to approve vouchers.  Motion carried.

Approval of Out-of-County Travel

Moved by Paulsen, seconded by Thompson to approve out-of-county travel.  Motion carried.

Any Other Business

Laberee distributed chart on effects of funding should the UW system split.  Florence County has gone on record to support the Wisconsin Idea Partnership, not the Badger Partnership.

Moved by Paulsen, seconded by Thompson to adjourn.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 9:15 a.m.

Respectfully submitted, Rebecca Brunner-Stroede, Recorder
