Moved by Kinsley, seconded by Shuman to approve the agenda. Motion Carried
Moved by Voight, seconded by Shuman to approve the minutes from the October 8, 2013 meeting. Motion Carried
Sawyer County Agricultural Fair Association President Ron Kubarek, updated the Committee on progress with 2014 Fair. He presented challenges related to securing a different carnival due to unavailability of the previous venue. The State Convention will be in January. Promotion of the 2014 is already underway. November 20 with be the Annual Meeting of the Sawyer County Fair Board beginning at 6 p.m. followed with the regular meeting. The Fair is considering a variety of entertainment options for the next fair. Sledding will be offered again this winter and sponsored by various community organizations. Buildings are in good shape and the addition to the animal barn was well received.
Agent Report by Lori Laberee included a slide show of various program efforts across the county. She indicated that positive youth development programming is reaching out in a variety of areas including summer programs, after school program, regular 4-H community clubs and a variety of other opportunities in the communities of Winter, LCO and Hayward. “Pay it Forward” will continue to be a theme in this years 4-H Program as youth determine where they will help others and ask for nothing in return.
Moved by Kinsley, seconded by Voight to approve vouchers. Motion carried.
Moved by Shuman, seconded by Voight to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 9:04 a.m.
