Chairperson Pearson called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Approval of Agenda

Moved by Voight, seconded by Kinsley to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes

Moved by Kinsley, seconded by Voight to approve minutes from the September 10, 2013 meeting.  Motion carried.

Audience Recognition

None present.

Sawyer County Ag. Fair Association

None present.

Agent Report

Ariga Grigoryan, CNRED Educator, gave slide presentation of ongoing projects highlighting updates on the Hayward area Farmers Market, State Nursery plans and the UW-Extension/LCO partnership as well as other relationships that have been built. 

Approval of Vouchers

Moved by Shuman, seconded by Voight to approve vouchers.  Motion carried. 

Approval of Out-of-County Travel

Moved by Kinsley, seconded by Shuman to approve out of county travel.  Motion carried. 

Any Other Business

Laberee presented a plaque to Dean Pearson on behalf of WACEC, honoring him for 5 years of service on the UW-Extension Committee.

Helwig discussed the program and work with the school board associations to return or enhance curriculum in the schools and what the county’s role is. 

Laberee invited the Ag and Extension Committee to the UWEX Meet and Greet on Tuesday, November 12, in the Main Street Entrance of the Courthouse prior to their County Board meeting.


Moved by Shuman, seconded by Kinsley to adjourn.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 9:08 a.m.
