The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. Motion by Voight, second by Hirschfeld, to approve the agenda with the addition of a closed session, pursuant to section 19.85(1)(c), Wisconsin Statutes, for the purpose of conducting employee evaluations. Motion carried.
Motion by Voight, second by Hirschfeld, to approve the minutes of the January 5, 2004 meeting. Motion carried.
Billyboy Dam Easements
Distributed copy of proposal from Ron Axdahl (copy on file). Motion by Romnes, second by Ploger, to accept and approve easement boundary and agreement of $4,000 with Mr. Ron Axdahl. The County will obtain and record a survey of the permanent easement. Easement costs will be paid from the Resource Development Fund. Motion carried.
Koehler introduced new soil conservationist. Distributed copy of work report (copy on file). Reported on tribal conservation meeting and focus on cultural resources.
Park Committee Report
Olson reported that representatives of trail user groups will be present at the next park committee meeting.
County Work Report
Distributed monthly and annual work report (copies on file). Work reports reviewed. Motion by Voight, second by Ploger, to approve the work reports. Motion carried.
Distributed 2004 Work Plan (copy on file). Motion by Romnes, second by Hirschfeld, to approve the work plan. Motion carried.
Future Plans for Namekagon River Property
Discussion regarding the removal of the buildings and site leveling. Motion by Suhsen, second by Voight, to seek bids for removal of the existing structures, septic tank demolition, and site leveling at the Namekagon River Park. Motion carried.
Paintball Site Proposal
Discussion regarding the proposed paintball use site at the abandoned gravel pit on Peninsula Road. Motion by Hirschfeld, second by Romnes, to designate the proposed site for use as a paintball use area for a trial period of one year and make necessary improvements for parking and restoration of the gravel pit. If paintball use continues at Hatchery Creek the project will be terminated. Motion carried.

Approve Chalet Condo Association Cost-Share Agreement
Olson distribute plan and discussed cost-share agreement. Motion by Romnes, second by Ploger, to approve the DATCP cost-share agreement for the Chalet Condo Association. Motion carried.
Vouchers reviewed. Motion by Voight, second by Hirschfeld, to approve the vouchers presented. Motion carried.
At 9:45 a.m. motion by Voight, second by Hirschfeld, to enter into a closed session pursuant to section 19.85(1)(c), Wisconsin Statutes, for the purpose of conducting employee evaluations. Motion carried.
Motion by Hirschfeld, second by Ploger, to simultaneously return to open session and adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
